You guys are so awesome!!! Thank you for the replies! It is so cool to know that there are people out there, like me, that LOVE chickens! I used to tell chicken stories at work, and boy-howdy, it didn't take long to realize that people in southern Cali, (not all people, but many of the city peeps) don't understand or appreciate the farm life thought process. I lived in southern California for approximately 9 years before moving to Oregon. It has been an interesting learning process because the weather is different and you have to prepare ahead of time for inclement weather here.....Anyway, all I am saying is that the learning curve is crazy and I failed the first pop quiz. read my post ie; "silkies, to raise or not to raise"
