Hello from Johannesburg in South Africa.
I have been a silent observer on this site for a while now and eventually took up the challenge of building a coop, thanks to detailed posts by the owner of Wichita Cabin Coop. Just signed up as a member and would like to share a few pic's of my efforts so far.
I won't go into too much detail but here it is.

And eventually the 4 hens about 6 weeks old were installed in their new home. Potchefstroom Koekoeks.

So far so good. Looking forward to learning about chickens and enjoying some decent tasting eggs produced by healthy, happy and well looked after chickens. Once they are a bit bigger they will have the garden of 2000 sqr metres to roam during the day. Hope that they find the snails and bugs etc. in the garden and compost heap.
