Hello everybody. New members from Raymond, ME.

Still in the research phase, trying to decide on a coop, breeds and number of chickens to get.

Also searching, and not finding, anything regarding local laws/restrictions. Anybody know about this. Closest I can find is Windham (the next town over), but I am assuming Raymond is basically the same, with no real restrictions. Wondering if a permit is needed. Also, parts, at least, of our backyard are within 100' of a lake, which might affect what we can and cannot do. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance,
