hello everybody I have recently adopted 12 ex battery hens so im gonna need as much advise as possible starting with pecking order I have 8 that seem ok and get and 4 that stay in the coop and dont seem to mix with others also I think 1 of the 4 is very poorly and is acting like its dying .look forward to hearing from some of you regards tray

i think the breed is a cross between rhode island red and rhode island white

They should figure out the peacking order, hopefully without too much aggression. Easier if they have a good amount of space. If you notice that they bully someone/injure someone you may want to give seperate them. Especially if they draw blood. I understand these girls did not have a good start as battery hens, the one that does not look good may benefit from some special care...maybe isolate her so she does not get pecked, offer food and water, maybe some yoghurt...You may want to post specific symptoms/questions in the "emergencies...." section and check the "Behavior" section for some ideas on introducing/reintroducing chickens...
