I'm an old f-rt and setting up my first ever chicken coop. I want 4-6 hens to lay eggs for me. I've got a good coop and am ready to get some chickens. I hope to get RIRs - primarily because that is what I know the most about. I live on Southern California and hope to find somebody local where I can get some "point of lay" or at least started pullets. So far - no luck. Any advice on where/how I should look?
