The Moonshiner's Leghorns

Well the good news is it's gonna be in the 90s here for the next several days. I expect with decent humidity too so if you want to set another batch you may not even need that incubator plugged in.
We had a few more light rain showers today, but it looks like hot and sunny for the next week. Finally things may get to dry out. ☀️

Oh man LOL I wouldn’t want to have to do that 🤣😭🙈 do they crow middle of the night too? Mine never did but as soon as it hit like 5-6am or sometimes earlier, COCK A DOODLE DOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOL and my little bantam sounded like a dog’s squeaky toy. :lau
If you go outside with a flashlight or something makes the motion lights come on they will crow in the middle of the night. lol

Oh gosh. I couldn’t handle that LOL
Maybe stick to just hens then? Or keep your chickens away from your house. Mine are everywhere. They are like an invasive species. lol

We had to have some technicians to come out today to work on our internet wiring. The chickens thoroughly supervised their work. 🤭

I can’t have chickens anymore lol I had them for probably 5-7 ish years LOL but sadly can’t have them anymore. But even my hens were obnoxiously loud if they were singing an egg song (had a few loudmouths) or demanding to be set free for free ranging LOL they were some bossy girls :lau but sweet LOL the boys were sooooo sweet too. I loved them all lol

Do you even really like chickens if you don't enjoy the sounds they make? lol I absolutely adore the way hens chatter and when they sing their egg song, or are complaining when another hen is in their favorite nest box. I love listening to hens cluck when they are broody, and tid-bit to show their chicks a piece of food. Hearing my roosters crow is like music to my soul. One of my favorite places to be is out in the yard with my chickens. I am definitely a crazy chicken lady. It is me. I am she. :frow

I liked most of their sounds. Like their happy clucks free ranging or calling to their babies or the tidbit thing and the dancing he did. And I liked hearing some crowing but when I had like 8 cockerels it was A LOT LOL I liked having one or two at a time much better and I didn’t mind that so much. Their crows were pretty. Just when I had more than 1-2, it got a little annoying. 🤣😭🙈 and my dad didn’t like when they crowed directly underneath his window LOL as for the egg song, I didn’t mind some of the hens songs. But this particular hen was EXTREMELY loud and practically screeched LOL she was also one of my favorite hens though. And even her screeching, I miss now. But still. I loved them a lot and loved MOST of their noises but some I didn’t LOL
