Hello and welcome to BYC. I have an Australian Shepherd that looks after our chickens. She even keeps them on the opposite side of our farm lane from the house. She's never shown aggression... she is so careful around the little chicks it almost seems she's afraid of them. I think you lucked out with an Aussie!

that is good to hear, that sounds just like my pup..my hope is that she maintains her calm until a threat shows up and then she lets out the pit in her...she took on the neibors full grown male pit (he is huge) she stands about 10" tall and she latched onto his leg until he left lol
