Hello everyone hope all is great ... chicken newbie here i have about 4 chickens only wanted to start small live on a small piece of land my chickens are well cared for and happy my ? to u guys is i just transition them from a small coop to a chickshed lots of work but they seem not to want to come out or seem confused maybe is change what can i do to make sure they come out of shed into the pen i also have a auto door?

Chickens are naturally scared of new places and things. Don't force them out, when they feel comfortable, they will venture out eventually.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!!

We've had to make our youngens move from a temp coop to the main coop on the complete other side of the yard. Usually, it takes 4-5 days in our experience. We put a light in the doorway of the main coop so they will generally gravitate toward it at night. Good luck! They'll get it one of these days!

As you've already mentioned, they don't like change. They actually hate it. They will eventually acclimate and come out. Feeding them outside will help. Do you have an attached secure run?
