my names Courtney. I as of this morning sometime between 4:00am and 9:00am lost my Best friend Red Chicken. he was really something else he was probly 8-9 years old. and life sure is never going to be the same again:( I had him since 2004. me and the Wife are heartbroken and it's still so Surreal,I found ya'll while reminiscing looking at pictures on Google and figured ya'll would understand my pain better than anybody else. seems Since he was Just a Chicken my other friends on the truck forums don't care since he wasn't a dog or cat

Red WAS NOT just a chicken and in my opinion he was better than either one dogs or cats or both. Red was a Bantam Cochin Frizzle Rooster and he was the solid Red color

this was me an Red back in 2004 I believe.

Anyway sorry this wasn't a happy positive introduction but maybe me finding ya'll was Reds way of helping me cope with his loss

I've kept chickens now for I think 15-16 years now

if the powers that be will permit me I will post pictures of my friend

I'm gonna miss him chasing and side winding me, and Coodra kacking when hes telling me about his food.

or ba ba ba ba'ing me when I walk out of the room

to you sorry about your friend. Some people think their just chickens but mine are like babies to me. If they were just chickens I wouldn't of just spent $212.12 on vet bills for just a chicken.

the Wifes telling me NO MORE Chickens blah blah blah blah but I can't imagine life without Chickens being part of it. when we had to move from a house we were in at the time after Becks stroke back in 2006 because of the foreclosure we moved into and APT and YOU BETTER believe Red Chicken moved in with us too I wouldn't have given him up for nothing. geez life sure won't ever be the same with out him. when I first got Red I went to a feed store ran by friends of me the wife and my mother and they had the weird curly feathers chickens I thought What the xxx are those and ken said those are Frizzles and I bent down and tried to pet them everybody except Red ran to the Back but good ole Red stuck his hed through the prison bars and let me scratch and love on him and I was sold. Asked Ken if I could trade him a Big Golden Brahma Buff rooster who was just a chicken he didn't care about people one way or the other absolutely no bond with either me or Beck and thats when Red came home:) I see beauty in animals others find ugly take Redneck for example he was a Naked neck that Ken called a Turken although huge Redneck was pretty Spineless but boy was he ever pretty.

Heres a couple more of Red(this was the first year we got him 2004)
