In the Brooder
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes and no. Had chickens growing up and I had a flock of my own years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
8 chicks were given to my 8 yr old grandson. I have no coop for them, yet. Don't have the heart to tell him they can't stay.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Orpingtons
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They bring joy into our lives. They are so sweet and friendly. All habe their special personalities
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
spending time with my people family and animal family, horses and dogs, now chicks.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm retired, may have MS, have rescued horses for years at least until I lost my husband 4 yrs ago. Still have horses. Love my family.
My grandson is my shadow and special little buddy. He weighed 2 lbs at birth so he still has some health issues. We are blessed to have him. I'm fortunate he and his mom live with me.
