Hi,
My name is Adam I’m 31 and me and my family have just hatched our first Silkie chicks.

We have wanted to do it for some time now for the kids and we love chickens! But time isn’t always on our side with work and school! So the day the kids stopped going to school I ordered the incubator!
From our 6 eggs we had 3 that are fertile and 2 started to hatch yesterday morning around 9am on day 22 and they are now out drying in the incubator
The 3rd isn’t showing any signs yet so I’m waiting/thinking what to do.
Will possibly get some more eggs for the incubator if I only end up with the 2.
I have had 4 ex battery hens when I was around 19 So I have a bit of experience and I am also a bit of a research freak! I always want the best for animals!

We also have 2 Cats which get treated just as good as our kids do!

Anyway that's enough of boring you guys just wanted to tell you about myself and why I’m here.
I love advice and just general conversation
I’m sure I will be on here asking some questions soon especially if anyone can help with sexing them etc!
