glad you have joined us. Congrats on getting your own flock.

The "bones" of your coop and run are very nice - but the chicken wire needs to be changed to hardware cloth and at least part of the run should have a roof. I would suggest you search the forums about predator proofing coops/runs for reasons and suggestions. Predators, especially raccoons can easily rip thru chicken wire. other small ones can fit thru the chicken wire. It is always so sad to see someone lose their flock trusting chicken wire.

Good luck in your new adventure.

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. You have some good advice from Sunflour.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre - https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

Greetings from Kansas, GuapoDad, and :welcome! Pleased you joined our community as you embark on your poultry adventure! X3 on the replacing the chicken wire with hardware cloth. Best wishes and thanks for joining BYC! :cd

1/2" x 1/2" hardware cloth is the gold standard for fencing. Chicken wire is just dental floss for predators. No joke!!
