I started raising chickens in the spring of 2011, on my father's farm after my divorce. It was the best therapy ever. After roughly a year of research, I chose to raise Dominiques. I moved away, after losing my entire flock one day before going into work. I then lived in the city, married, had two boys, and a dog. Due to the happenings of the past year, I lost my job and moved back to where my current husband and I met, back in high school. We were blessed with a small bit of land to grow a garden and raise chickens. So, I jumped on the opportunity to introduce my boys to the joy of raising chickens. They love them. I thank God daily for this opportunity, it is so rewarding.
