HELLO EVERYONE. NICE TO MEET YOU ALL.

Hi and welcome. Trust me there has been a couple times I told my internal self I would not purchase anymore babies, but my love for my chicks had me buying more. I wish your flock of babies well!

beautiful birds :love

So glad you girls are better. Did you discover what was ailing them? Welcome to Backyard Chickens, the pulse beat of the chicken community.
Hi thanks for your welcome, everyone is so lovely here, as for my 2 birds who were ill.
Tootsie the warren must have brought it, as the first 8 i know had all their jabs. Plus i had them, earlier. The guy we bought them off has a good name for his birds. Yes they cost extra, but my son and grandson bought them, for Mothers day. Because i had plenty of space noticed an add for 4 pol warrens. They looked healthy, but within a few days, i
noticed Tootsie ill. She was coughing plus her eyes were closed. Brought her straight in
next day, I noticed LIL coughing and sneezing plus her one eye was like matter around it.
She was also sneezing real bad, so i was scared it would go through them all. So brought
her in as well. Stayed up a few nights and gave them Nutri drops i bought, soon as they
were ill. Also eye drops just kept nursing them. Within a few days they started eating
on their own.If they had got worse i would have seen our vet, for sure. I think it was a
cold and it was Tootsie who brought it. As did ring the people i bought them off, and they had not have any jabs. So now the 4 warrens have. Our vet said it seems as if it was a cold virus. So i was lucky. They are now back healthy, thank goodness. Also read a lot on here, which helped, especially the scrambled egg with raw liver, i swear that helped their
immune system.:celebrate

Welcome to BYC!

Thank you all, so very much. I truly believe if i had not found BYC and read all i read, when they fell ill, i truly believe the what i read up helped to save my girls. We are now
pensioners, and retired. Owned our own farm for many a year, in which we had loads of
chickens, ect. However i can honestly say, the only time i had chickens ill, was normally
if some were egg bound, or some bullying each other. In which i would know what to do.
We was so very lucky when i look back, on our days on the farm. In regards of our chickens. Although we also lost other animals, due to illness. Couple of our horses we
lost, fell ill, vet came done tests, and found tumours, that developed in later years.
So yeh, that was hard especially when you do not expect it. Also learn"t by trial + error
along the way. No matter what your age is you never stop learning though.lol :thumbsup
