It's an honor to be among so many successful keepers of backyard chickens.
I've built a coop last summer.
It's 4ft wide by 6 feet long and 5 feet high. The run is 4 feet wide by 9 feet long and 6 feet high.
There are three rungs for roosting and three nesting boxes for laying.
I've got three hens that are 8 months old and laying almost daily.
The two of the ladies are two americauna chickens who's giving me eggs every other day and one road island red who's give me eggs every day.
I just brought home three chicks, another americauna, black australorp and silver laced wyandotte. They are between 3 weeks and 5 weeks old.
I only plan on keeping 6 chickens tops as the town only allows upto 6 chickens.
