Hi, I'm Cass from the UK and I thought I'd join this forum as I'm interested in keeping Bobwhites but I have no experience whatsoever. So I'll be doing LOTS of research and asking some daft questions (sorry).

I've already found lots of excellent info here and it seems like a friendly place!

So glad you could join our community!!

I keep bobwhites too!! Fun little bird to keep, but they can be challenging if you have never kept quail before. Bobs require huge attention to detail, they are kept in pairs only and need a LOT more room than Coturnix quail, which is one of the easier more laid back quail to keep. You can't handle Bobs as they can go into shock or injure themselves, they are still close to being wild, having only recently come on the scene as a bird kept in captivity.

Anyway, stop by our Quail section for more help.... https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/48/quail

Good luck with all your quail adventures and welcome to our roost! :)

Welcome to Backyard chickens Cass, very nice to meet you. 2Crows gave you some very good information, and I learned a lot as well.
