Hi, just found BYC and instead of doing my housework Ive been reading thru the forums for ages lol.

I have had my two girls for about 6 weeks now MollieAnne my Lohmans & Lacey (named by my grand daughter who chose her own middle name) my gorgeous Sussex. They are both now laying daily and have the free access of the top half of my garden. Mollie disagrees with this and seems to be able to fit thru the tiniest of gaps and has repeatedly totally wrecked my flower borders lol.

We have had a wonderful summer here in the UK and my girls have been an absolute pleasure to watch. Im going to start training Mollie with coloured plastic tokens using a clicker & treats (obs lol) when she chooses the correct one. Shes soooo smart, you can watch her thinking and working things out. Ile let you know how that goes.

Well Ive bored you all enough for now! Id best get my duster out! Byeeee

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for a fun introduction. Please do start a thread on how the training goes - it should be very interesting.

Not sure why, but talk of feather dusters reminds me of Ken Dodd, but I fear I’m getting confused with someone like Larry Grayson

Feel free to continue to delay housework of any kind by popping over the UK thread to say hi - http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/655508/uk-member-please-say-hi/890

Best wishes

Ile certainly post one when shes learning and as she goes on. She tried to get thru a gap yesterday but I had blocked it, so she climbed up a tree to see if she could get through the fence higher up, but the tree is just not close enough lol was amazing watching her trying to work it all out.

It breaks my heart to think of the poor battery hens. They must be so unhappy. My mom has 3 ex batterys, the condition they were in was shameful. They now have the run of her garden and kitchen. Theyre beautiful now.
