In the Brooder
My name is Angie and I started my chicken farm this spring. I have 33 birds in my flock. I have light brahmas, polish, black star, araucana, ameraucanas, silkies, isa brown, rhode island red, guinea fowl and 2 khaki campbells. We have 3 coops. One large one for the main flock. Silkies (and one easter egger) have their own coop (and do not free range). The ducks have their own house with a covered run and also do not free range. The rest of the birds are free range. We have about 5 roosters. We just started our flock in April and are new to all of this. I love my birds, but I have been stalking these forums for a few months looking for answers to all my many questions! Time to join!

Hard to think about, but I can't eat grocery store meat any more after learning what I am eating. Thank you for the warm welcome!
) You have a handsome son. Thanks for posting the pic. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. My children and granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loved our chickens and made lap pets of our calmer and more gentle breeds. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
