Hello Everyone

Hi! I'm Ashley. I'm a stay at home mom of 3. I just got my first flock last weekend. I had 5 hens and 1 rooster, but my rooster arrived sick and died during the night the first night I had him.
So now I have 5 hens. 4 are what I was told are Bantam Cochins and 1 is an Easter Egger.
This fall I'd like to enter one of my hens in the County Fair, if I can. I don't know much about County Fairs except for the rides and games lol.

I'll probably have tons of questions so thank you for your patience!

Hi Ashley - glad to have you join us here at BYC. Sorry about your roo. If you check out your state thread you may find some other members that would be happy to point you in the right direction for getting another. Having said that, waiting till you get more experience is not a bad idea - some Roos can be a handful! Either, I hope you enjoy being a member. Lots of info at the learning centre, as well as the threads, oh - and the members are absolute gems!
