Hi my name is Janet and my hubby and I own 6 chickens. It is our first year, and we have been getting our first eggs! We have 2 Gold Sexlinks, 2 Black Astralorps, and 2 Easter Eggers. Its exciting! This will be our first winter with them, so I am kind of a paranoid mother hen here. Happy to talk chickens with you!

I too have easter eggers an isa browns, and I just loveee them! Don't worry every new chicken mama (or dad) gets nervous for the first winter. I did every time I added birds. haha
As long as the coop is clean dry and well ventilated you'll be golden and so will the gals!

I LOOOVEEE my EE. One lays a mint green egg and the other lays blue! :) Thank you for the heads up that I am not the only worry wart about winter!
