Just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone here at Backyard Chickens! I have had laying hens here at Cooper Creek Farm for about 1 1/2 years now. I have had some triumphs & unfortunately some defeats as I am sure most of you have had. I have questions from time to time & that's why I joined your group. My flock consists of Black Swedish Hens, Standard size Cochin Hens (Buff, White & Lavender), Cinnamon Queen, Cuckoo Marans, Black Copper Marans & Wheaten Marans. This spring I am adding Light Brahams, Jubilee Orpingtons, more Buff Cochins, Salmon Faverolles & Welsummers. I also have 4 dogs, 2 cats, one rabbit, two Blue Gold Macaws & one African Grey Parrot. I look forward to conversing with you all!

G’Day from down under CooperCreekFarm :frow Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

BYC has Topic of the Week discussions which I have found to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining; so definitely worth checking out.

Great pic! Thank you for sharing :clap If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of your flock or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
