Hello everyone

G’Day from down under Bianca.. :frow Welcome and Congratulations! :clap

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Including your general location on your profile will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

Please do check out the Topic of the Week discussions Pork Pie mentioned. I have found these to be a great resource, informative and sometimes entertaining. There are some down the bottom of the page which are duck specific.

Your babies are adorable! :love If you would like to share more Pictures and Stories of them or your other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

As a recent new to ducklings owner myself, you may consider a separate brooder for ducks and chicks. Ducks grow so fast and also they will contaminate conditions for your chicks.. Just food for thought..:hugs

Thank you for the advice. I recently built a decent size coop for my babies and grew my number from 2 ducks and 2 chicks to 2 ducks and 6 chicks. They have been getting along great and my Pekin has become the leader of the group by tripling in size. The chicks love to follow it around and appreciate more space. Only issue is the Pekin needs to be supervised around my 2 Barred Rocks I just got. I keep the chicks separate from the rest of the flock for now as it likes to peck at them aggressively.
