Hi! Don't know why it took so long for me to join, since having our girls i have always looked at this site.
Thought I would do a quick post to say hello and I would love to talk and meet other chicka owners!
My name is Heather, I live with my hubby and our two young children plus many animal children! We have a rescue dog who is soft as anything, love birds, a rabbit and ofcourse our chickens
Here are our girls.. please excuse the garden we are in the middle of repainting it all and redoing the coop.
Our girls sunbathing the other day, we only get about three days of sun here in the UK!
So names, starting with our Ayam Cemani. She is called Cleo. Our Bluebell is called Olive and she is our top dog, she is so so strong! Next is our little Dolly , 2nd in the pack she doesn't half pack a punch even though shes petite! She's an Ancona. Then we have our absolutely gorgeous Light Sussex, Penny! She is our most friendliest chicken.
We have a new Wellsummer girl who joined our flock a few days ago but unfortunately still no name. Her comb is so big! And her eggs are such a gorgeous rich brown.
Then last but not least these two trouble makers. White one is named Floss, grey one still no name
we aren't doing well on the name front here! But they are both tinkers and get up to all sorts of trouble. Maybe Tink for the grey one?
Anyways that's our flock. I am hoping to make a thread when we redo the coop. We have a good few months work ahead of us so it will be the best for the girls. I am literally chicken crazy!

. BYC is the best!!! The members are the greatest. Always willing to help. Full of more knowledge than you'll find anywhere. They also make it a lot of fun. So glad you decided to join us.
