So I've had a Backyard Chickens account for about a year and have never formally introduced myself. Here it goes!
My name is Dushane and I have had chickens for about 3 years. My first batch was 8 mixed breeds from my neighbor. Currently, I have 197 chickens from these breeds/varieties: Barred Rock; New Hampshire Red; Rhode Island Red; Leghorn; Production Black; Buff Orpington; Easter Egger; Cream Legbar; Silver laced Wyandotte; Gold Laced Wyandotte; Black Sexlink; Buff Rock. I raise chickens, then sell them as adults to neighbors, friends, locals around me. It's a win-win for me because 1) I love chickens and 2) I can make a little bit of money in the process.
I came across this site while just searching for some basic information on Sexlinks and different crosses I could make with my chickens. This is my first year incubating and I plan on doing much more next year!
I am also trying ducks for the first time, and I currently have 25 2-week old Pekins. I also have two Duroc Pigs that I will butcher and sell in the fall/winter. My family thinks I'm crazy......and they're right lol.

There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!
will never remember & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!
