My wife and I have two children (7 and 3) and we’re beginning our second year with chickens. We live in north central Oklahoma. Last year, I built a coop that will accommodate about 15 birds in our one acre back yard and we currently have 6 birds (1 Wyandotte, 2 Barred Rocks, 3 Cinnamon Queens). We are about to introduce them to four 6 week old barred rocks, two that aren’t identified yet and 3 lavender orpingtons. I added a 6x12 section to our run with a smaller barrel coop to integrate everyone before putting them in the main run/coop. We love looking and learning from everyone on here!

Now that we know each other, can anyone identify these two birds for me? They’re about 6 weeks old and were sold to us as Black Americauna Pullets.

Crossbred EEs, maybe. I'd say Black Copper Marans, but no feathered legs. I'd say Sexlinks, but the darker one looks like a rooster.

I'm saying crossbred EEs because they were sold as Americanas, which is another word for EE, and they have oddly colored legs, but EEs have peacombs.
