She still doesn't look quite sure about them!Do they taunt her? My chickens love to terrorize the dogs.
No not yet anyway, the brooder I built to raise them I built a viewing window in so the peeps could get used to seeing the dogs and vice versa. I know everything you read says do not brood them in the house, but I didn't have a safe warm place outdoors where I could do it so we put the table away for the brooding period and set up the dining room as a brooding area. Was a lot of work cleaning every single day to keep everything clean and smell free, Coop Flakes from tractor supply are amazing. Once they started losing their fluff and flapping their wings they had to go out in the mudroom because we had feathers everywhere and wife was p***ed. So the peeps were used to the dogs from the first day they arrived. That's how curious Georgie got her name, she was the first one brave enough to come to the window and check out the dogs. Gracie was a trainwreck the first month they were here though. She wouldn't leave that brooder and would snarl at Ozzy and us if we got close to it. Found some "calming pheromone" collar and scented oil warmer thingy and that worked extremely well and she settled down. I coated the brooder with the oil on the outside so when she got near it, the pheromones on the brooder itself helped her associate the peeps with a calming nature.
