Welcome to the flock. Good work getting the regulations changed in your county. I'm sure there are others here that would love to hear your process, may I suggest an article? I don't know the rules for writing articles (I guess I should learn ) so I hope I'm not out of line here. Anyway, we're glad to have you.

I just learned about officially joining after many years of using the BC website, so I did. As for myself, I just retired as an Extension agent w/ UF/IFAS where I coordinated and taught workshops w/ local chicken breeders, backyard chicken advocates, and fellow Extensión colleagues. Now I’m on some world travels where I’m meeting and learning from folks w/ backyard chickens. I’m sharing these lessons and other info on the Facebook for Manatee CLUCKers (Manatee County, FL) which I started during our successful campaign to change county regulations to allow backyard chickens. I look forward to learning and sharing w/ everyone.

I have been to some of the seminars and workshops in the past (Marion County). I got a lot of good info. Looking forward to your posts.
