Hello Everyone

Welcome :welcome Nice to have you here! Handsome roo!!
Yeah, he became the dominant one very fast. Plus he just looked so good we could not cull him. He is soooo good with the ladies. No signs of treading at all. Finds them food, watches for predators,... You know the deal I'm sure. Started with a straight run from Pure Poultry to get a flock started. Got like 5 roos out of an order for 12 birds. His name is Jean Luc but actually we name the office and not the bird.
We also have another roo named Riker. The thought is that you can be Jean Luc or #1 (first officer) but you have to earn it and hold on to it. Currently running 17 hens and two roosters with 2 places for them to sleep. The roos get along fine so far.

@Lucky13Farm - Welcome to BYC! :welcome

What a wonderful assortment you have! It's so nice to hear another person raises Khaki Campbells - they're such a great breed! It's nice to hear that you have found solutions to your predator problem. If you don't already, perhaps invest in a game camera and focus it on your coop in order to help identify potential problem predators in the future. We look forward to hearing more about your flock!

Have a great Thanksgiving!
