Just a fellow chicken tender from KY waiting on her spring chick order! So I figured in order to pass the time I might finally join BYC and quit always being a lurker. I’m not new to chickens but am definitely no expert. I’ve only had 2 flocks (with my third on the way from Cackle in May). My first flock were hatchery red sex links and my second flock were breeder quality silkies. Now, I’ve decided to go with Orpingtons (buff, lavender and jubilee) and a few black australorps as I just absolutely love the look of a nice, well built, blocky hen (can you guess what inspired my sn? :lau). I can’t help it, I’m a sucker for those fluffy butts.:love But enough about me! I’m very glad to be here and can’t wait to learn a lot from y’all!
