Hello everyone, I've enjoyed lurking as a post reader for a while and finally plucked up (pun intended!) courage to join and post.

So here goes...

1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens
I hatched my first chickens and ducks last year, having previously looked after poultry in my job in an animal sanctuary.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 2 x silkie at the moment as well as four ducks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Silkies! One is cuckoo and the other is golden (I don't know the proper term for her colour)
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
There's always so much to learn with poultry, it's been a whole new world!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Kayaking mostly

Right, haven't answered all the questions as my phones not scrolling down properly, but anyway, I'm in the UK and looking forward to learning more about chickens here and hopefully helping other members with my own experiences.
