Hi there!
I'm posting this a bit late, but better late than never, I suppose.
My husband and I started our first flock back in March, with four laying hens whom we bought from a friend. We soon added two more (the maximum number we're allowed to have here is six.) Sadly, we lost one about a month ago.
The chickens are a mixture of breeds, and the smallest one is the top of the pecking order! Is this common?
I also have a blog where I write about chickens, life, food, and whatever else comes to mind. It's at underhill.blog
Can't wait to get to know some folks here, and soak up all the wisdom!
