(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I grew up with chickens, mostly bantams. My mom used to show Belgian d’anvers when I was growing up. I’ve always had a few of my own but got my own official coop last year.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

16

(3) What breeds do you have?

Silkie, Cochin, Orpington, and some others I think are mixes

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Their personalities

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

I enjoy going to breweries and have a lot other pets to keep me occupied (dogs, parrots, pond)

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I kind of already went over this but I grew up with a lot of animals. I have two samoyed dogs, 5 parrots, and a koi pond. I’m a police officer

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I’ve known about it for a while but can’t remember how I found out. Recently someone suggested I ask about my issue here from Reddit.
