Hello everyone!!

Hello and welcome to BYC :frow We are happy you have joined our community !! Great intro and you have very pretty birds 💗. Also, welcome to Tennessee, what part of the state do you live in ? If you don't mind me asking.
Hey thank you so much!! I’m in East TN, super in love with this place. The views are stunning and the people are so polite and lovely. Wouldnt change a thing.

Welcome. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful people on here.

12 good layers there. Be ready to be overwhelmed with entertainment and lots of eggs! Haha. I see eggs being taken to work to share and someone getting a new nickname. They call me chicken man at work. They have a feed donation cup in our fridge. With all the ones I end up carrying around you'd think I'd have a different nickname.

LOL chicken man that’s hilarious! Well we already promised our neighbor fresh eggs every once in a while and he’s excited about that 🤣🤣 I’ve actually never tasted fresh eggs, I am that new at this but I hear it’s a game changer.

Just wait. There's gonna be days you get a dozen a day. The neighbor will say no mas. Lol. Then during molt and winter you'll be wondering where they all went.

Fresh home grown eggs are the best! Just so you know since it's not commercial store eggs you'll possibly see some abnormalities in your eggs. Odd sizes. Fart/fairy egg. Lol. Meat spots. Just the little stuff marketing tosses out or sends to the processed egg products.

Oh thanks for the heads up, I had to look up what those things were 😂 tiny eggs with no yolk! Are all of those good to eat though?

I'm sure most of those are still used in the food industry but not sent put as fresh eggs..

I just scoop the meat spot out. Just a personal preference really but yes they should be fine.
