Hi everyone, my name is Amber, and I live in Norfolk in the UK. We moved here last year from Suffolk. I used to keep chickens at my old house. I recently found a chicken on the side of the road looking lost, no houses or anything nearby, so I scooped her up and brought her home. She now follows me everywhere and comes inside the house! I’ve recently hatched 3 chicks in my incubator that I got from a rare breeds farm, so Maple could have a friend or 2. One egg was blue, so maybe Araucana, but they’re a week old now, and I think that yellow one’s a boy! There’s a black one, which may be a Scots Dumpy as she has shorter legs than the others, and there’s an odd brown one with a naked neck! I know they had Transylvanian naked necks at the rare breeds farm, but she’s crossed with something as she has feathery feet!

Thank you, the naked neck one is so odd looking bless her, but she’s really sweet! My eldest wants to knit her a little snood! I’m sad that I think the yellow one is a boy, and I can’t keep any boys here with close neighbours. He stands taller than the other 2, and is very feisty!
