Hi! New member here! I've been around chickens all my life, my mom is a chicken lover! Told myself I would NEVER have chickens!! I moved last year into a home with a big yard... I decided to start my own little backyard farm! I currently have 16 chickens and 8 eggs in an incubator! My flock consist of Silkies , Lavender Orpington, and game bantams ( I need help identifying them so that's coming next!) I love my fluffy butts, the fluffier the better and my little ones make me smile! I've hatched out 2 batches of chicks so far ( just started in June!) My silkie hatched out 6 but due to the wrong waterer, a mystery and a crazy dog I only have 1 left and my little bantam hatched one single egg about 4 weeks ago! I got an incubator for Christmas so I'm trying out my first batch! So excited!! I am always looking up stuff online and always find help here so I figured I'd join the flock!! Please be kind! I'm not 100% new to chickens , I do know a thing or 2 but still need help here and there! Looking forward to learning more! Here's some pictures of my friends!
