Hello everyone

Keri here from southern Idaho. I'm still pretty new to having chickens even though I started my little flock in 2018.
Right now I have 10 little fluffy butts, 1 rhode island red, 1 white leghorn, 1 black barred rock, 1 Columbian Wyandotte, 1 Black Australorp, 4 Ameraucanas and 1 rooster that might be an Ameraucana too. I'm not really sure as he was given to us.
I absolutely love my little flock, they're so much fun. They all have such distinctive personalities and provide comedy every day. Of course I also love the fresh eggs, which is why I originally got them, but they have become a big part of our family.
We have a border collie named Taz and a Lab/Pointer mix named Coco. Taz used to herd the chickens around but decided to teach Coco how to do that so she could play ball more. Coco loves her chickens and always makes sure I know when it's feeding time even if I'm in the middle of a woodworking project, she's such a responsible pup.
I found BYC when I was looking up information about a mite infestation I had a while back, and a problem i was having with my RIR Rose when she had part of an egg hanging out of her vent, there was so much good information here I decided to join.
Welcome to BYC!!

Well welcome here Keri. I'm glad you've joined yes they are GOOFBALLS! So entertaining. Do you have a favorite hen or breed?

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.
Also from Southern Idaho
