I posted on the Me, my chickens, my family but will be posting here a lot I am sure. I am a new proud owner of 6 baby Black Australorp's Chicks.

Last night was our first night and what adventure! I was up every few hours to check on them. I am in love.

Welcome! I saw the pics of your australorps on the other post - they are so pretty! I have 2 Australorps, 4 weeks old now. They weren't very social at first (compared to some of the other chicks) but now they are some of the first ones to the door of the brooder. They are beautiful - congratulations on your new addiction!

I have 2 black australorps and what a hoot they are. They are 3 days old now and I still lay there and listen to them during the night .. just to make sure. hahahahaha some mothering habits die old.
