The Cascades
My first post.

I live in the West. I am planning on starting a small backyard operation for chickens (for eggs and meat) and rabbits (for meat). I live in the city limits, so the amount of animals will be very small. I'm thinking 5 chickens for laying, and 3 rabbits (2 does and 1 buck).

I am sure I will have tons of general questions. I know I am a noob on this homesteading plan.

Go easy on me during the hazing process.

I am new to the forum as well and am also in the city, also new to "homesteading" but getting the hang of it and love it. we have 4 chickens and the number suits us well. I think 5 would be also workable in our environment, but I would not want to do less than 4. Good luck! It is so much fun!

I am an active person. I love biking, skiing and kayaking. I tend to have a quick wit and sarcasm is a big part of my personality.

Try not to take me too seriously.

Although, I am serious about my backyard operation.
