I am justin, i have been to this sites to get all my info, just joined today. I am loving the site. Thanks for all the help.

I own 8 chicks, silver laced wyandottes.

I have built a coop, with a friend under neath my shed, it is on a hill kinda, and it had a part where it was not walled underneath, so i put walls up. i do not have a wood floor or open floor, i was wondering how or what i should do so the chickens do not dig themselves out or a predator will dig themselves to get in side? I have some long cinder blocks around parts of the walls but there is still gaps. Please let me know what i should do. Thanks a lot.

Have you thought about getting some wire to line the bottom where the walls touch the ground. Then nothing can dig in that area.

Hello Justin, and welcome!

I wish I could give you some advice regarding your coop floor, but all I can say is check out the coop section and maybe you could find some ideas, or better yet, post a question about the floor.....I'm sure you'll get lots of suggestions.

I have some three week old Silver Laced Wyandottes right now, along with several other adult chickens of various breeds.

Take care,

Sharon
