SO I'm new here.. obviously
I don't actually have any chickens (unless you count the ones on my WCMT(pfau)) ... YET!!
My DF and I just bought our first house. yay! in Bremerton, WA... just outside city limits, well its actually in a small "island" that is not city but surrounded by city... its very confusing.
Anyways we are planning our coop and brooder and are going to break ground on the coop next weekend. I want to get my flock soon and time it well so the coop is ready when/before they get their feathers. We have never had chickens before. And I want to learn all I can. We plan on keeping 4.
Some back ground on my family, which consists of me, my DF Pavel and our DD Aurora who is almost 9 months old. We have 2 indoor only cats Shakti and Freyja. I'm in the Navy but should not be transferring again before I get out. DF is ex-navy and now going to college to become Dr.
