Hello, are you in need of any advice? It was good for me too when I came across this site, I was searching for advice about my sick chicken. Are you new to owning chickens?

Thank you!! I have 3 hens, I had 4, but something got to one somehow. They are about a year and half, so I'm that new. I came here looking for advice on my broody. I don't have a rooster and I am worried about her sitting in that hot house all day, not really eating or drinking. She left long enough to attack the dog when he stuck his head in the door. I took the eggs, only to have the other girls aid and abet and lay her some new ones. I've done some reading and tomorrow I'll put her in a broody house. Hopefully, that will help. I just want my nice and happy chicken back.

I think you are referring to a 'broody buster,' You want a box or crate with a wire floor (no litter or bedding) and raised somewhat off the ground, so air flows under it. You keep her in there a couple of days and then can try putting her with the flock again. But, if she heads for the nesting box and won't leave, she needs a longer stay in the box. Make sure she has food & water handy
