Thank you!! I have 3 hens, I had 4, but something got to one somehow. They are about a year and half, so I'm that new. I came here looking for advice on my broody. I don't have a rooster and I am worried about her sitting in that hot house all day, not really eating or drinking. She left long enough to attack the dog when he stuck his head in the door. I took the eggs, only to have the other girls aid and abet and lay her some new ones. I've done some reading and tomorrow I'll put her in a broody house. Hopefully, that will help. I just want my nice and happy chicken back.

I hope it helps. It's probably quite common to have a broody hen even when you dont have a rooster. Don't worry too much you will soon have your happy chicken back!

Thank you. She's in the wire penalty box now. She's lost noticeable weight in the days with barely eating or drinking, so I hope this helps.
