So this is our first year with chickens and we also have 3 ducks. It was suppose to be just a few but we have 15... 3 roos and the rest are hens. We have rhode island reds, amercanas, 2 others breeds that I'm unsure of and a silkie. So I noticed yesterday while washing betty (silkie) feet that all her feathers are gone on her chest. Its not red, I didn't see any bugs. But there's nothing but skin there. Is it time to molt? Is she stressed. Why just her chest. Thanks every I'm advance for your input
and I didn't see any bugs of any kind she just naked on her chest. My kids are always checking the coop for eggs so she doesn't get the chance sit to long lol thankd for your input everyone
