I'm new to BYC and new to raising chickens. When I was a little boy, we lived in the country and everyone had chickens. I love farm fresh eggs and even like to hear the rooster crowing. So, after living in the city most of my adult life, I have returned to the country life. I've been getting fresh eggs from local farmers and have decided to get into raising chickens for myself. I've been really exploring the BYC website and wow yall have a lot of good stuff in here. With the wealth of informatoin, I've built my incubator, gathered things needed for the brooder and almost completed plans to build my coop and run. I,m excited about joining up with with BYC and look foward to sharing my experience with everyone as well as enjoying seeing whats going on with yall. I,m sure I'll have plenty of questions, especially when it comes to keeping the chickens safe and healthy. I hope to finish my coop and run soon and be ready to incubate mid to late February. All of your input will be greatly appreciated. Looking foward to hearing from yall.
