I am so happy to be a part of this community and would like to say hello to everyone! I got 7 silkies on June 24, 2013 that were approximately 1 week old. I spend a lot of time, most weekday evenings and all day on the weekends, with my silkie chicks. Every time I observe them, I have a ton of questions that people have already answered in the forums. Looking forward to reading and maybe participating more as I learn from these guys. <3

There are many dedicated silkie threads, if you subscribe to some of them you will be in heaven, gorgeous photos, nice people lots of information. Just put Silkie thread. There are also threads for BLack silkies, buff silkies, Silkies of another color, Only Partridge silkie these will answer your questions but mainly give color genetic advice for breeders. There is also a very good one on Grooming silkies for show.
