Hello fellow chicken lovers

I am new to BYC and am both excited and nervous. We were the rescuers of a wayward chicken found in our neighborhood and fell in love with a chick we wound up naming Gurdy. We have had her for about 3 months and decided to bring in some babies. We got 4 baby bared rocks and two ducklings and love them. But they are mischievous and like to dump over the water into the food and get dirty, I need to know how to clean off crusty damp birds. They are sweet and are starting to bond except one duckling in particular it is not liking being around people at all. I am glad that after reading this forum I finally have the ability to join and enjoy all of the tails. lol

Welcome Nice to have you here! I don’t know much about ducks and ducklings but if chicks can be messy with waterer ..... ducks are much more so. Hopefully someone that has chickens and ducks or just ducks can chime in and give you some helpful info on keeping both

Are the ducklings in the same brooder as the chicks? Would it be possible to put the ducklings in a separate brooder? It would keep the chicks from getting soaked.
