Hello all,

I am new to backyard chicken keeping and look forward to using the site to help me along this exciting adventure. My chickens are all pullets about 9 weeks old. We have 4 golden sex links, 1 Easter Egger, and one black Australorp. We live in the city and can only have 6 hens.

So far some of the best parts have been raising the birds with my children and seeing some different personalities in each bird. I am an HVAC technician and enjoy working with my hands. I built our coop myself and enjoyed the whole process.

Again look forward to seeing you guys and thanks in advance. I will upload some pictures of the hens and coop once I figure out how

If you are new with chicks/chickens I advice you to read a lot about feed, coops and runs, keeping you’re chicks/ chickens safe, learning to roost, etc. It really helps to do the right things and prevents experiencing nasty things that can happen to a flock.
