Welcome to BYC! Happy to have you here. I'm also a very overprotective and overly paranoid parent of my current baby chicks! Haha.Hello again! I’m a first time timer who hatched my first chickens, 3 out of 6 hatched… and ALL WERE BOYS…luckily two days after my 3 hatched someone gifted me 3 more from Southern States. All of those have turned out to be girls thankfully. I rehomed two of the three Roos but I couldn’t bear to let all 3 of my sweet cuddling boys go. So I kept one Roo.
Yesterday I picked up two started pullets and I’m back to 6 chickens. 1 roo, 5 hens. (I know it may not be enough hens for him, if he needs another later I’ll get one or two more.)
I’m excited to be joining a community that’s never tired of talking about chickens. But I’ll admit, I’m an overprotective and overly paranoid chicken mom. They are my pets that give me treats too lol
