welcome back to chicken keeping! I too came back after previously having free rangers.I tried a tractor too,but I felt bad for them so I got an easy to move electric run that let's them range but protects them from dogs and keeps them out of the neighbor's yard. check it out on my byc page. The tractor is still there as a coop but with it's door open.
