    Good evening!
I just finished reading through the lurker posts and thought I would finally register and say my first ever hello to BYC! (Now I am a registered lurker!!)[IMG]
My husband and I started a little mini farm 2 1/2 years ago...starting with my peeps! I learned all about chicken math here on the forum! I only wanted four chickens, and honestly, that is what I started with. But with broodiness, and feed stores, I am up to 11 peeps, and 4 guinea's. (Oh, and my uncle is a HUGE enabler!)
We have 8 acres and our farm is called Fuzzy Heart Farm. Besides my peeps and hens, we have four goats, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. We live in a 100 year old farm house and LOVE living in the country! Even though we have only been here 2 1/2 years this is when I also started lurking on this forum. You all have helped so much and I think this is why my peeps are still alive and healthy. (I have never had chickens before moving here.)
I want to say thank you to all of you that support all of us newbies![IMG]

Welcome to BYC, and the addiction of chicken-keeping! You'll find that the number of birds will keep on growing and growing, and so will your craving for more breeds, until finally, you'll be wondering why you only wanted four in the first place!

Whoops, sorry-- ...I just gave you the curse. [IMG]

[IMG] from California! BYC was the most informative and helpful forum for me, too, but I registered shortly after I started lurking. This is a great place to come to learn to do things correctly; I joined to learn how to fix things I hadn't done correctly. [IMG]

Not only is the available information handy as all get-out, but the real-life stories of the members when they post in response to questions is INVALUABLE. The BYC Community is awesome. I now have a great many friends "I've never met" and some BYCers I have met over time....

So glad you registered and joined us officially!
